  • Three Santa Clara Teams Earn NCAA Public Recognition Award for Academics
    The Santa Clara University athletics department had three Bronco teams honored by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as recipients of the organization's Public Recognition Awards for academic achievement.

  • Seniors Run Well in Final Race
    Seniors Stephen Koch and Alex Harkins ended their Bronco careers on a high note Friday night at Cal State Stanisauls.

  • Broncos Run Well at Sac State
    Redshirt freshman Erin McCarthy broke her second school record in her last two races at Sac State on May 8.

  • McCarthy, Reid break school records
    Great conditions and a high level of competition combined with a season's worth of training helped Santa Clara produce excellent results this weekend at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational at Cal. The two day meet hosted by Cal featured collegiate athletes from all over the country and a slew of elite competitors and Olympians as well.

  • Track to run at Brutus Hamilton Amongst Olympians
    Running with some of the world's best this weekend, Santa Clara will compete at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational at Cal on Fri., April 23 and Sat., April 24. The meet will feature eight Olympians, including former Oregon track star and 2008 Olympian Galen Rupp and 2008 Olympian Amy Begley.

  • Broncos Run Well Again at Woody Wilson
    On a warm day in Davis, many Broncos ran the best times of their careers at the Woody Wilson Invitational hosted by UC Davis on April 17. Both teams will be sending their top individuals to the Brutus Hamilton Invitational hosted by CAL next week. The Brutus Hamilton Invitational is one of the premier track meets in the country in which six Olympians will be competing as well this year. The action starts on Fri., April 23 and continues through Sat., April 24.

  • Men's Track Runs Well at Chico Twilight
    The Santa Clara men's track team made the trip up to Chico for a two-day meet hosted by Chico State. The first night of competition was highlighted by two personal bests in the men's 5000m.

  • Bronco's Sweep Men's 800m at Johnny Mathis
    Santa Clara junior Robbie Reid, the WCC runner-up at the 2009 Cross Country Championship, won the 800m at Johnny Mathis on Sat. April 3 with a mark of 1:54.91 to lead a Bronco sweep of the event.Freshman Guadalupe Gonzalez won his heat with the second best overall time of the day in 1:56.98 and sophomore Richard Zhu ran 1:58.22 for the 3rd best mark.The women's team will be off this weekend and the men will be heading north to Chico State for a two day meet.

  • Reid Breaks Own 800m Record at Stanford Invite
    The men's and women's track teams competed at the SF State Distance Carnival and the Stanford Invitational Friday and Saturday. Both teams return to competition next Saturday at the San Francisco State Johnny Mathis Invitational.

  • Wilson Receives National Academic Honors
    For the first time in school history, Santa Clara's women's cross country runner Stephanie Wilson has been honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as a member of the national All-Academic team. She joins just two other runners from the West Coast Conference receiving the honor, Portland's Tommy Betterbed and Joash Osoro.
