  • Cross Country Announces 2014 Class
    The Santa Clara University men's and women's cross country teams will welcome a deep and talented recruiting class next fall. The two combined to sign seven incoming freshmen student-athletes.

  • Wilson Named to All-District Academic All-American team
    Collecting a perfect 4.0 grade point average the past two quarters, Bronco cross country junior Stephanie Wilson has been named to the ESPN.com/CoSIDA All-District Academic All-American Cross Country/Track and Field first team. Her name will now be forwarded nationally to be in the running for the CoSIDA Academic All-American team.

  • Wilson Receives National Academic Honors
    For the first time in school history, Santa Clara's women's cross country runner Stephanie Wilson has been honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as a member of the national All-Academic team. She joins just two other runners from the West Coast Conference receiving the honor, Portland's Tommy Betterbed and Joash Osoro.

  • 19 from Santa Clara named to All-WCC Academic Teams
    Santa Clara is proud to announce 19 student-athletes have been named to the 2009 West Coast Conference Fall All-Academic Team, including eight to the first team. The Santa Clara list was highlighted by WCC champion and All-American Stephanie Wilson (cross country) and WCC Defensive Player of the Year Jordan Angeli (women's soccer).

  • Wilson All-American at NCAA Cross Country Championships
    Terre Haute, Ind., Santa Clara junior Stephanie Wilson (Archbishop Mitty, San Jose, Calif.) finished 28th overall, crossing the line in 20:37 at the NCAA Cross Country Championship this morning in Terre Haute, Ind., collecting the school's FIRST-EVER All-American honors in cross country. Wilson was the 2009 WCC champion and sixth in the 2009 NCAA West Regional last weekend as the school's first runner to qualify for the NCAA Championships. Oklahoma State won the men's title and Villanova won the women's.

    When the family's first grand-child is baptized, it's normally not ok for someone in the immediate family to miss the celebration. But Scott Wilson, his wife Amber and their infant son Aiden have given Aunt Stephanie Wilson a pass this Sunday. The Mitty graduate will be in Terre Haute, Ind. preparing for the NCAA Cross Country Championship Monday morning. Wilson's NCAA title berth is the first-ever for a Santa Clara cross country runner.

    After being honored with the school's first female Rhodes Scholar last year, the women's cross country team has another HUGE first as junior Stephanie Wilson (San Jose, Calif./Archbiship Mitty) qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championship today with her sixth place finish at the NCAA West Regional. Wilson's finish, in very muddy conditions in Oregon, was the best ever by a Bronco as well and she was the top finisher in the state of California as well.

  • Cross Country Prepares for NCAA West Region Championship
    WCC champion Stephanie Wilson, WCC runner-up Robbie Reid and the Bronco cross country teams are preparing this week for the NCAA West Region Cross Country Championship on Saturday with Wilson and Reid both looking for a historic first. Both are working to qualify for the NCAA Championship on Mon., Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Ind. - something no Bronco has ever done.

  • Wilson named WCC Runner of the Month ... again
    For the second straight month, a first in Santa Clara cross country history, junior Stephanie Wilson has been named the West Coast Conference Women's Runner of the Month. Wilson won the WCC cross country title, another first in school history, last weekend.

  • Wilson Wins WCC Cross Country Title - school's First-Ever WCC XC Title
    Santa Clara University cross country made history this morning on the Crystal Springs course at the West Coast Conference Championships when Bronco junior Stephanie Wilson (San Jose, Calif./Mitty) tied the WCC course record to win the women's title - claiming Santa Clara's first-ever cross country title on either side. In addition, Bronco junior Robbie Reid (Mountain View, Calif.) finished as the WCC runner-up - Santa Clara's highest finish ever on the men's side. Both broke school records with their times.
