Santa Clara Men's Soccer Wraps Up Spring Season
The Santa Clara University men's soccer program is finishing its 2010 spring season, which runs from late March through late May. The Broncos played seven spring matches, including a scrimmage against the San Jose Earthquakes of the MLS.

Men's Soccer Alumni Weekend Welcomes Back Final Four Teams of 1998, 1999
Santa Clara University's 1998 and 1999 NCAA College Cup Final Four teams will return to the SCU campus for an alumni match and banquet dinner on Saturday, May 15. The alumni are scheduled to play the current Broncos at Buck Shaw Stadium at 11:15 a.m. which follows a spring exhibition match with UC Santa Cruz at 9 a.m.

Former Santa Clara Broncos Starring in MLS
Former Santa Clara University Broncos All-America honorees Mehdi Ballouchy and Peter Lowry netted goals for their respective Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs this week. Ballouchy - one of the league's top playmakers - is a starting midfielder for the Colorado Rapids. Lowry has been a rising young star with the Chicago Fire since graduating from SCU in 2008.

Masch, 19 Broncos Named to All-WCC Academic Teams
Santa Clara is proud to announce 19 student-athletes have been named to the 2009 West Coast Conference Fall All-Academic Team, including eight to the first team. The Santa Clara list was highlighted by WCC champion and All-American Stephanie Wilson (cross country) and WCC Defensive Player of the Year Jordan Angeli (women's soccer).

Santa Clara University All-America midfielder Mehdi Ballouchy was recognized by College Soccer News on the publication's `Team of the Decade (2000-2009).' Ballouchy - a finalist for the 2005 MAC Herman Trophy - became the sixth first round draft choice from SCU and highest pick in school history.

Santa Clara University junior Jalil Anibaba was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-West Region team, the organization announced. The defender from Davis, Calif., and team captain, was recently awarded his third straight All-West Coast Conference team honor.
