  • Ten Men's Water Polo Players Earn ACWPC All-Academic Accolades
    Ten Santa Clara men's water polo players were honored by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches on the ACWPC All-Academic teams for their achievements during the 2009 season.

    Senior Jack Wall was named an Association of College Water Polo Coaches' Third Team All-American today, his second such inclusion in the annual All-American awards. Wall was an honorable mention All-American in 2008.

    The No. 14 Santa Clara men's water polo team suffered a heartbreaking loss to UC San Diego on the road today, dropping the high-scoring shootout 14-13 in double overtime. Junior Nick Poggetti scored six goals in the losing effort as the Broncos couldn't outlast the Tritons.
