Erin Sullivan, senior captain of the Santa Clara University women's golf team, has become the first Bronco golfer in program history to earn National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholar honors all four years of her SCU career.

The Santa Clara University women's golf program and head coach Polly Schulze have received a National Letter of Intent from prep golfer Brooke Stephens (Durham, Calif./IMG Academy [Florida]) to study at Santa Clara and play for the Broncos in 2010-11.

Women's Golf participates in Relay For Life
The Santa Clara University women's golf team raised $2,900 for the American Cancer Society through the Relay For Life fundraiser this past weekend in San Jose. The team personally has lost six family members in the past three years to cancer, so this is a very personal issue for them all. Their losses have spurred them all to feel passionately about fighting to end the dreaded disease. This was the first time the Broncos have participated in the event and they hope it's the first of many years to come.

Broncos Shatter Team Scoring Records in 2009-10
The Santa Clara University women's golf team wrapped up the 2010 spring season last week with a third place finish at the WCC Championships. It was the sixth time in the past seven seasons that the Broncos have placed third of better at the conference championships.

Santa Clara Golfers Finish Third at WCC Championships
The Santa Clara University men's and women's golf teams combined for five top-10 finishes at the 2010 West Coast Conference Golf Championships. On the men's side, Bronco sophomore Cory Mehl fired the tournament's best finishing round, a 1-under par 71 to place fifth overall. Miki Ueoka led the women with a 76 Tuesday to place ninth.

WCC Championships Up Next for SCU Golf
The Santa Clara women's golf team is preparing for the 2010 West Coast Conference Golf Championships. The Broncos will travel to Vallejo to play at Hiddenbrooke Golf Club. Hiddenbrooke is spread out over 5,974 yards and boasts a par of 72. The tournament is held over the course of two days, Monday-Tuesday April 19-20.

Miki Ueoka Top 15 at 2010 Anteater Invitational
The Santa Clara women's golf team lowered its team score in each round of the 2010 Anteater Invitational and Miki Ueoka posted a top 15 finish. SCU placed 13th at the 15-team tournament hosted by UC Irvine at Dove Canyon Country Club (par 71/5,960 yards).

Santa Clara Competing at 2010 Anteater Invitational
Through 36 holes Monday the Santa Clara women's golfers Miki Ueoka and Tammy Surtees are tied for 19th overall at the 2010 Anteater Invitational hosted by UC Irvine. Ueoka and Surtees shot identical rounds of 77-77 to enter final round play Tuesday at 12-over par.

Bronco Women's Golf: Team Report
The Santa Clara women's golf team will continue their spring campaign later this month at the Jack Nicklaus designed Dove Canyon Country Club, the site of the 2010 UCI Anteater Invitational. It will be the Broncos final tournament before the WCC Championships April 19-21.

SCU Women Complete Tournament Play at Spartan Invite
Wet playing conditions Monday evening and a second-round 322 pushed Santa Clara from the top 10 and into 12th overall, where the Broncos finished after final-round play Tuesday at the 2010 Juli Inkster Spartan Invite at the Almaden Golf and Country Club in San Jose.
