The Broncos finish the season in sixth place in the WWPA with a 17-16 overall record.

The Santa Clara women's water polo team (15-14 overall, 8-5 WWPA) will travel to Bakersfield, Calif. this weekend for the Western Water Polo Association Championships at the Hillman Aquatic Center on the CSU Bakersfield campus. The Broncos will look to repeat their success in the 2009 WWPA tournament when they reached the championship game for the first time in school history.

Santa Clara's Offense Sparks 14-8 defeat of Cal State East Bay
The Broncos exploded to defeat the Cal State East Bay Pioneers 14-8 at the Sullivan Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon. Santa Clara avenged their two loses to the Pioneers in their previous meetings earlier in the season. The back and forth game was the second to last game of the regular season for Santa Clara."This was one of our best games in terms of being confident and aggressive with our shots," said Head Coach Keith Wilbur. "Our defense stepped up and we got stops on five on six defense. We focused our intensity on playing hard the entire game and not letting up."

The Santa Clara women's water polo team will take on two in-state opponents this weekend to close out the 2010 regular season. The Broncos will face Cal State East Bay at noon on Saturday and No. 10 Cal State Northridge on Sunday, also at noon.

Santa Clara Splits Games On Final Day Of The Bronco
The Santa Clara women's water polo team again split games on the second day of its tournament, The Bronco, at the Sullivan Aquatic Center today. The Broncos lost a heartbreaker to No. 20 Cal State Bakersfield, 13-12, in double overtime, but came back to beat Sonoma State in the tournament finale, 8-7.
